"What Counts"
"What Counts" is the name of Chapel Grove's mission project sponsored by it's "VISION" young adult Sunday school class. The idea for this endeavor came after "VISION" searched for a mission project setting similar to some of the mission trips that the youth (FOCUS) have attended. There just did not seem to be any similar projects geared toward adult participation. It was during that search that God revealed His plan. A local mission project based on Galatians 5:6.
"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."
"What Counts" finds opportunities to show Christ's love in our surrounding communities. We are currently serving the following:
The Salvation Army Homeless Shelter
The Battered Women's Shelter
Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Centers

During "What Counts", many individuals discovered their calling to a specific mission and now visit these sites on a regular basis. "VISION" has an awareness of the ongoing needs for missions. "What Counts" will become an annual camp-setting mission opportunity, but it's also a year round opportunity for missions.
If you would like to participate in any of our mission projects, or have information about a mission need in our community, please contact
Gina Pasour at (704)739-3047.
Please see our activities page for upcoming opportunities to serve!
